The fine print
Terms
How an order works, what we promise, and what we ask of you in return.
Ordering
An inquiry is not an order. You send us the date and the shape of the day, we come back with ideas and a price, and nothing is held until we both say so in writing.
A date is confirmed once the deposit is settled. Until then it stays available to anyone else who asks.
Paying
- We accept card payments, taken securely by Stripe. Card details never reach us.
- A deposit of 50% confirms the date. The balance is due seven days before it.
- Grazing tables and events start at 12 guests.
- Prices quoted are held for 14 days from the day we send them.
Changing an order
Tell us as early as you can. Headcounts, dietary needs and styling can change up to 48 hours before the date. After that we have already bought and prepped for the order as it stands, so it stands.
Increases are subject to what we can source and what else is booked that week. We will always tell you straight away whether we can.
Cancelling
Boards and boxes can be cancelled for a full refund up to 48 hours before the date. After that the ingredients are bought and the order stands.
For a grazing table, the 50% deposit holds your date and is not refundable — once it is taken we stop offering that date to anyone else. Cancel more than 14 days out and nothing further is owed. Inside 14 days the balance is due in full.
If we have to cancel — illness, a supply failure, weather that makes an outdoor table impossible — you get everything you have paid back in full, and we will help you find someone else if there is time.
Delivery and setup
- We deliver across Henrico and the Richmond area, roughly 25 miles out. Beyond that, travel is quoted with your date and shown before you confirm.
- Grazing tables are built on site. We arrive about 90 minutes before your start time and need a table at least six feet long, level and cleared, within reach of the door.
- Someone has to be there to let us in and to take responsibility for the food once it is set out.
- If we cannot get in, or the space is not ready, we will wait 30 minutes and then leave the order as best we safely can. It is still charged in full.
Food, allergens, and keeping it
Tell us about allergies on the inquiry form and we build around them. We cannot guarantee an allergen-free kitchen. Everything is made in one space, so cross-contact with milk, nuts, wheat and other allergens is possible. If a guest's reaction is severe, that risk is yours to weigh.
Once the food is with you it is yours to look after. Keep it refrigerated until 30 to 45 minutes before serving, and expect no more than two hours at room temperature. We are not responsible for food left out beyond that, or stored somewhere warm.
Our serving pieces
Boards, bowls, tongs and stands used for grazing tables and events stay ours. We collect them We collect serving pieces at the end of the event, or the next day by arrangement. Anything broken or missing is charged at what it costs us to replace.
Boards and boxes for smaller orders are yours to keep unless we say otherwise when you order.
Photographs
We photograph our own work and may show it on this site or on Instagram. We do not photograph your guests, and we will never use a picture of your gathering without asking you first. Tell us you would rather we did not and that is the end of it — before or after the day.
If something goes wrong
Tell us on the day if you can, and within 24 hours at the latest, so we can see it and put it right. We would rather hear it from you than read it later.

Questions before you book?
Most of them are already answered, and the rest we will answer ourselves.
