What a grazing table is

A grazing table is a long table laid end to end with food, instead of a board carried round on a tray. Cheeses, cured meats, fruit, breads, and something sweet, arranged with greenery and height so it looks like part of the room.

Guests help themselves through the evening. Nobody queues, nobody is served, and it usually becomes the place people stand and talk.

What is included

Setup on site

We arrive, build the table, and leave it ready.

Styling

Linen, height, and the arrangement itself, built to the room.

Serving pieces

Boards, bowls, tongs, and small plates.

Greenery and florals

Fresh greenery through the table. Florals may be yours or ours.

Breakdown

Included with Celebration, and available with any table.

Travel

Included within 25 miles of Henrico County. Farther than that, quoted with your date.

Named for the gathering, not for a metal. Most tables end up somewhere between two of these, and that is fine.

For 12 to 20 guests

Rehearsal dinners, anniversaries, memorials, a Sunday with the whole family in one house. If people are coming and there needs to be food in the middle of it, ask.

The process

From first message to the day itself

  1. Step one

    You send the date

    Headcount, venue, and anything you already have in mind. We reply with whether the date is open, within two days.

  2. Step two

    We propose a table

    What would be on it, how long it would run, and what it costs. Nothing is booked yet.

  3. Step three

    The date is held

    A 50% deposit holds it, and the balance is due seven days before. After that we talk details as the day gets closer.

  4. On the day

    We build it

    We arrive about 90 minutes before your guests, build the table, and leave it ready.

Tables we have set

This run fills in as the photography arrives. Nothing here is a past client until there is a real photograph of a real table.
